Mechabellum Brawl Guide: How to Approach 4-Player FFA
A mode-specific guide to Mechabellum Brawl, with the format, safe decisions, and a clear boundary between current rules and older community strategy. This page separates current official facts from community examples and unknown version-sensitive details.
Brawl is Mechabellum’s four-player free-for-all mode. Treat it as a separate match format from 1v1: read the mode’s current round and scoring rules in the lobby, protect a flexible board, and avoid assuming a 1v1 build transfers unchanged.

- Use the live Brawl lobby rules for current scoring and waves
Recommended approach
Before queueing, open the Brawl mode details and confirm its current objective and round flow. During a match, watch both neighboring boards and the PvE wave, keep enough coverage to avoid losing a lane to an unexpected threat, and use the between-round information to choose a response rather than hard-commit early.
A sound Brawl round leaves you able to contest the next PvE wave and still answer a player transition. If a purchase only helps against one neighbor and leaves the wave or the other lane uncovered, it is not a stable default.
What changes the answer
Use the current in-game rules as the source of truth if the lobby wording differs from older guides. Community posts and videos about Brawl are useful for positioning ideas, but several were made before later mode reworks.
Version and evidence boundary
The official historical announcement confirms the 4-Player Brawl mode; the current 2.0 announcement does not provide a complete Brawl rules manual. This page deliberately avoids asserting an exact point cap, wave schedule, or current Brawl meta without a live rules capture.
